Based on Plan No. 296/KH-TKCNKVIII dated 24 June 2025 of the Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center Region III (MRCC Region III) on strengthening professional and physical training in accordance with the Training Handbook, MRCC Region III organized enhanced training sessions for its officers and employees during July and August 2025.
The training program was conducted with a frequency of three sessions per week dedicated to physical and fitness training, and two sessions per week focused on professional skill development.

The Directorate of MRCC Region III Briefs on the Training Inspection Plan
In accordance with Plan No. 430/KH-TKCNKVIII dated 08 August 2025, MRCC Region III organized an inspection and evaluation of the training program from 15 August 2025 to 29 August 2025, covering the following contents:
Physical and technical training included: Basic training modules (Balance Bridge, Horizontal Ladder, Parallel Bars, and Horizontal Bar), Advanced modules (Wave Bridge and Centrifugal Rotation Course).

Physical endurance training comprised: Long-distance running (1,000 meters for male participants and 200 meters for female participants); Swimming (300 meters for male participants).

SAR operation training covered: First aid and medical response; Firefighting using portable extinguishers and fire hoses.
Through the inspection, it was found that all officers and crew members participated fully and strictly complied with the training program, successfully completing all evaluation components in accordance with the Training Handbook. The operational criteria were performed correctly, following proper procedures and closely reflecting the real conditions of maritime rescue operations at sea.
In the time ahead, MRCC Region III will continue to maintain regular SAR operation training, ensuring a strong linkage between theory and practice. At the same time, the Center will promote a movement to further strengthen physical and fitness training, aiming to build a team of officers and crew members who are physically fit, professionally competent, and fully capable of meeting the increasingly demanding requirements of maritime rescue operations.
