Upon the command of the National Committee for Incident, Disaster Response, and Search and Rescue (VINASARCOM), the Ministry of Transport, the Vietnam Maritime Administration, Vietnam MRCC has dispatched  SAR 411 from Hai Phong to the incident site. A government task force, led by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, onboards SAR 411 to oversee the search efforts. The task force included Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Binh, Deputy Chief of General Staff of the People's Army of Viet Nam, Standing Vice Chairman of VINASARCOM; Mr. Khuat Viet Hung, Vice President of the National Traffic Safety Committee; Mr. Dinh Viet Thang, the Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Viet Nam; and Mr. Bui Van Minh, Director General of Vietnam MRCC along with experienced search and rescue experts in aviation and maritime fields.
